Two dinner seatings, 6:30pm and 9pm are scheduled by the chefs of the I Love Lucy Cafe at Lucy the Elephant on Valentine's Day, February 14.  Ironically, Lucy has served as many things, including a library, a bar, even a promotional stunt to attract clients to purchase real estate in the area!  Wow!  You've come a long way, baby!

It's been promised, that if the weather holds up, couples will be able to share a champagne toast in Lucy's howdah -- at the top of old Lucy -- hopefully you don't have a fear of heights.  You will want to hold on tight to your sweetie...and your champagne!

The chefs have informed me that there will be a choice of appetizers for two as well as a salad with Caprese heart-shaped tomatoes and croutons -- or you could elect an heirloom salad with goat cheese in a velvet raspberry "love potion" dressing.

Entree choices include lamb chops, roast duck, surf and turf (my favorite), lobster ravioli or lobster tails.  You have a choice of two sides, as well.  And how does "Love Cake" of red devil's food smothered in strawberries and chocolate-coverered strawberries sound?

Ladies will receive a long-stemmed red rose at the door, while men, a Lucy favorite, a bag of peanuts.

Reservations are required.  Price is $245 per couple, and it you should reserve you spot prior to January 31.  Call (609)  823-6773  or visit the web site www.lucytheelephant.com
