LIFE IS SHORT ~ BUY THE HOUSE!
There was an old woman who lived in a shoe
She had so many children she didn’t know what to do!
But interest rates were dropping to an all time low-
So she packed up her things and decided to go.
Calling a Realtor was the number one thing
A down payment check she needed to bring.
Then she called a mortgage rep for a pre-qual letter
To make her family’s life so much better.
They ran her credit; gave her a FICO score,
And she found out now, she could afford so much more!
So on Realtor.com she started her search,
To find a property close to her church.
She found out she could live close to the beach,
And that so many homes were within her reach.
She met the Realtor on a bright, sunny day
And her home search was now well under way.
To make up her mind was a daunting task;
Many questions to her Realtor she needed to ask.
But they opened the door and she knew this was it!
Because this home for her was the perfect fit.
She decided to go for it and not look back,
Even though so many children she needed to pack!
From out of the mattress came some cash-
That all along she had been able to stash.
For it was time to place her bid-
And that is exactly what she did.
The seller countered back and forth they went
Until an entire day was spent.
Compromising on a settlement date,
She was so excited and just couldn’t wait.
A home inspector was next on the list.
He checked plumbing, heating & electric so that nothing was missed.
They even made sure to check the roof
She received all her reports and now had the proof.
A termite inspector then checked for bugs
While she went out to buy her new rugs.
A C.O. inspector from the city was next to get
And her capable Realtor made sure not to forget-
To check on her mortgage the date it was due;
So she would be able to leave her old shoe.
Her mortgage commitment came in right on time,
And things were going along just fine.
She called all her friends to tell them her luck,
And then she called a moving truck.
The utility companies were the very next call,
The bills would now be hers, after all.
The kids counted the days to the settlement date,
She booked her babysitter so she wouldn’t be late!
The hour before settlement they walked through the place,
The sellers had left the home without even a trace.
The big day was here, and she signed and signed again-
And by now her Realtor was her best friend.
Up for sale now is the old woman’s shoe,
That just might be the perfect fit for you!
So when the time comes to buy your next home,
Remember a red-headed Realtor is as close as your phone!
