Margate Bridge Toll Card...Please God!
Join the In Crowd...
I despise waiting in line. I most abhor the long line invariably found during "prime time" at the Margate Bridge toll booth. It never fails, I'll get behind a former "only child" who chooses to seize the moment and unload every single penny at the bottom of her handbag.
Contrary to popular opinion at the booth, I actually do hate myself for laying on the horn long and hard and shouting out the window, "Let's go...while we're young!" Sweetie might be right... maybe I should look into a stronger anti-psychotic coping mechanism.
So I've enthusiastically joined a number of other time-conscious bridge-farers who have an alarmingly l-o-w frustration tolerance level
for the occasional chatty kathy toll collector, compulsive conversationalist, or space cadet who happens to grace the line directly ahead of me.
I'm now a liberated man. I'm proud to announce that I've joined the ranks of the card-carrying bridge quick tollers. And it's a real pleasure. I'll cruise to the right lane and, zippity do da: Freedom! Freedom!.
100 trips for $100. I figure by the summer's end alone I've saved a bundle with that miraculous piece of plastic. And I'm pretty proud of myself that I won't need the Rageaholics meeting my supposed dear friends and family tried to intervene me into, (another $3 buck roundtrip hassle) -- couple that with not having to deal with that annoying collection plate I've been hearing they pass around -- a guy like me is way, way ahead of the game. So I've got that going for me, too.
Here's the address to make your Margate summer just that much more enjoyable.
